Port Macquarie-Hastings council has asked NSW Health relevant questions about fluoridation before and they have been ignored. Will they answer this time or continue to avoid the overwhelming evidence that fluoridation chemicals are NOT safe and NOT effective in reducing tooth decay?

A strong opponent of the community poll on fluoridation, Leslie Williams MP, publicly invited PMH Council to engage in formal communications with NSW Health about the safety and efficacy of fluoridation, instead of proceeding with the community poll
On 6 September PMH Council resolved to cancel the community poll, to be held on 4 December 2021, and to accept Leslie Williams’ invitation to engage in talks with NSW Health

Questions for NSW Health

At an Ordinary Council meeting, held on 6 September 2021, Port Macquarie-Hastings Council resolved not to hold a Community Poll on fluoridation, as had been planned in conjunction with the upcoming Local Government elections scheduled for 4 December 2021.

PMH Council also resolved to accept a public invitation by the Hon. Leslie Williams MP, for Council to engage in direct talks with NSW Health regarding water fluoridation locally, rather than hold a community poll.

These direct talks with NSW Health have been initiated by a series of detailed questions compiled by Councillor Lisa Intemann, as follows:
