The Case Against Fluoride

When the US Public Health Service endorsed water fluoridation in 1950, there was little evidence of its safety. Now, six decades later and after most countries have rejected the practice, more than 70 percent of Americans, as well as 200 million people worldwide, are drinking fluoridated water. The Center for Disease Control and the American Dental Association continue to promote it–and even mandatory statewide water fluoridation–despite increasing evidence that it is not only unnecessary, but potentially hazardous to human health.

In this timely and important book, Dr. Paul Connett, Dr. James Beck, and Dr. H. Spedding Micklem take a new look at the science behind water fluoridation and

The Fluoride Deception

The Fluoride Deception documents a powerful connection between big corporations, the U.S. military, and the historic reassurances of fluoride safety provided by the nation’s public health establishment. The Fluoride Deception reads like a thriller, but one supported by two hundred pages of source notes, years of investigative reporting, scores of scientist interviews, and archival research in places such as the newly opened files of the Manhattan Project and the Atomic Energy Commission. The book is nothing less than an exhumation of one of the great secret narratives of the industrial era: how a grim workplace poison and the most damaging environmental pollutant of the cold war was added to our drinking water and toothpaste.

The Devil’s Poison: how fluoride is killing you

Fluoride and fluoridation will go down as one of the greatest controversies of the 20th century. Up until the early 1940’s, fluorine’s effect on life was always deemed poisonous. It was proven to be altering enzymes used by living organisms to carry out a multitude of essential processes. Fluorine, the most reactive element on the planet, is also the strongest free radical. Scientists in the 1930’s and 1940’s experimented with this element to create the most deadly nerve gasses, rocket fuel, and radioactive U235 for the bomb.

Fluoride and pregnancy do not mix

When fluoride safety thresholds were established for children in 1997, health authorities ignored babies in the womb – and still do – despite substantial and growing evidence that fluoride is a “developmental neurotoxicant” in the same category with alcohol, lead, and nicotine. – EPA’s Neurotoxicology Division (2009)

When a pregnant woman drinks fluoridated tap water throughout the day – as she is advised to do – her unborn child’s intake level of fluoride is comparable to a 5-year old who swallows too much fluoride in toothpaste, and the FDA warns his parents to: “Contact a Poison Control Center right away.”

Fluoride: Drinking ourselves to death

Fluoridation of water has been used for the prevention of tooth decay for over fifty years. During this time little research has been done to ascertain whether it works. The chemicals used are classified as toxic industrial waste, yet no study has ever been conducted into their safety for human consumption. At the same time, research has uncovered serious side effects including deaths, cancer, skeletal fluorosis, osteoporosis, dementia, lowered IQ, kidney damage and even increased dental decay. Strongly opposed throughout the world, water fluoridation is far less widely accepted than its proponents would have us believe. Only two percent of the people of Western Europe have their water fluoridated – almost all of them within Britain and Ireland.

Fluoride Fatigue

Is fluoride in your drinking water—and from other sources—making you sick?

This is a vitally important book that has been long needed and begging to be written. Although dental public health officials in countries promoting water fluoridation adamantly deny the existence of illness caused by fluoride in drinking water, undeniable medical ill effects from fluoride added to drinking water have been known and reported since the start of water fluoridation over 50 years ago. Even today, those who experience these adverse effects, whether from fluoride in their drinking water or from other sources, know only too well how insidious these ailments can be, what a relief it is to find out what is causing them, and how easily they can often be overcome simply by reducing excessive intake of fluoride.
Those who deny reality and persist in discounting sensitivity to fluoride in drinking water are like ostriches with their heads in the sand. They would do well to heed what Dr. Spittle has reported here and stop continuing to promote and be misled by scientifically indefensible claims that do not hold up under scrutiny

How To Save Your Teeth

Gum disease and tooth decay are the major causes of tooth loss. Both result from bacterial infections and poor nutrition and are entirely preventable. This book gives a step-by-step approach for restoring teeth and healthy gums and maintaining them, with a major emphasis on prevention. Prevention is the only practical and cost effective way yo keep your teeth all your life.

This book also deals in detail with the three of the major controversies facing the dental consumer today: “silver” fillings, non-surgical treatment for gum disease and fluoride.

Fluoride: The Aging Factor

In this book, the author provides you with the compelling up-to-date evidence showing how fluoridation is chronically poisoning millions. He shows you why many of the professionals, organizations, and agencies we have relied upon for health information and protection from toxic substances, actually promote the the addition of fluoride to public water systems – and why they campaign to stop the removal of fluoride from the drinking water, even in areas where they admit that it is having harmful effects. You get an inside look at the crooked bureaucrats, politicians, and businessmen who profit from human misery. You also get a glimpse at the long list of characters who risked their jobs and careers to get the word out to you that fluoride and fluoridation is taking its toll in human health and life. Most importantly, the author tells you how you can help turn things around and make this world a better place to live.

Arsenic and Fluoride Contamination

This book presents an up-to-the-minute overview of arsenic and fluoride pollution of soil and groundwater in Pakistan. It includes the author’s doctoral dissertation on Lahore as a case study and describes the mechanism of pollution on the basis of the findings in that area. The book highlights the concrete situation in Pakistan – including the severity of the problem, its health effects and the risks posed to the people living in affected areas by these two major pollutants– and points out essential research areas that call for immediate attention. As such, it draws attention to the need for management strategies in the affected areas and offers a valuable reference work on Pakistan for students and researchers alike.

Fluoride in Drinking Water

Most people associate fluoride with the practice of intentionally adding fluoride to public drinking water supplies for the prevention of tooth decay. However, fluoride can also enter public water systems from natural sources, including runoff from the weathering of fluoride-containing rocks and soils and leaching from soil into groundwater. Fluoride pollution from various industrial emissions can also contaminate water supplies. In a few areas of the United States fluoride concentrations in water are much higher than normal, mostly from natural sources. Fluoride is one of the drinking water contaminants regulated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) because it can occur at these toxic levels. In 1986, the EPA established a maximum allowable concentration for fluoride in drinking water of 4 milligrams per liter, a guideline designed to prevent the public from being exposed to harmful levels of fluoride. Fluoride in Drinking Water reviews research on various health effects from exposure to fluoride, including studies conducted in the last 10 years.

Health Effects of Ingested Fluoride

This book reviews the effects on health of fluoride ingested from various sources. Those health effects reviewed include dental fluorosis; bone fracture; effects on renal, reproductive, and gastrointestinal systems; and genotoxicity and carcinogenicity. The book also reviews the Environmental Protection Agency’s current drinking-water standard for fluoride and considers future research needs.

Fluoride: The Freedom Fight

This book by Dr. Hans Moolenburgh tells the story of how fluoridation was stopped and ultimately banned in the Netherlands.

Dr. Moolenburgh found that fluoridation caused negative side effects in some people, just as American scientists had discovered. People had their side effects go away when they stopped drinking fluoridated water.

The Netherlands was under Nazi occupation and knows what totalitarianism looks like. Dr. Moolenburgh calls fluoridation a totalitarian policy. He remembers the Nazis in his country. Fluroidation was stopped in the Netherlands due to the public being opposed to it by a large majority. That majority was reflected in the national legislature, and as a result the law and constitution do not allow fluoridation anymore.

Fluoride and Fluorosis

The problem of Fluorosis is world wide affecting many countries and in India especially Rajasthan which is the largest state of India. The cause of problem is high fluoride content of water more than 1 ppm and chronic long term ingestion as stated by the different studies around the world and World Health Organization (WHO). Fluorosis does not only affect oral cavity but has more severe and generalized effect on the body resulting in hard tissue and soft tissue irreversible damage in form of dental fluorosis, increased chances of caries and periodontal diseases, skeletal and non-skeletal fluorosis and acute toxicity which is lethal.

Robert M Buck; 1964
The Grim Truth About Fluoride

Few issues of public health and safety have aroused the storm of controversy that has raged in recent years over the practice of adding minute quantities of fluoride compounds to public water supplies as a means of reducing the number of cavities in children’s teeth.

The Drama of Fluoride: Arch Enemy of Mankind

The problem of fluorine is the subject of heated discussion all over the country at the present time, in the large city, the provincial town,. and the remote village. An enlightened nation, brought up to use its own intelligence, refuses point blank to be told without adequate explanation what people should or should not do in matters affecting the health of each one of them. When it is proposed to tamper with their drinking water by altering its chemical composition, they insist on being given facts based on unbiased studies carried out by competent investigators. In short, the nation wants to know whether any risk of injury to health is involved.
